You can add/cancel/reschedule all of your appointments anytime UP TO 24 HOURS before your appointment (after that time, you'd need to email me directly). Typically, how are appointments scheduled?Usually, I will see someone once a week for the first 4 weeks (initial assessment + 3 follow-up sessions). After that, I tend to space out sessions (eg. once in 2 weeks; once a month) depending on their progress. Once a patient experiences long-term relief, they book maintenance appointments. They are usually scheduled a few months down the road, and are meant to ensure old patterns aren't coming back/ensure new patterns are holding.
-
Do you treat people more than once a week?Generally, sessions are spaced out weekly to allow the body to integrate the changes made from the previous visit. It takes time for the body to re-learn patterns and movements that may not have happened for some time. In acute cases, I may see a person 2-3 times in a week to allow things to settle down.
-
How should I dress for appointments?Loose fitting clothes such as jogging pants, yoga pants, shorts, and T-shirts are recommended. For women, please ensure you have an appropriate bra on (eg. sports bra) in cases where your back needs to be examined. Please, do not wear jeans or heavy colognes/perfumes.
-
What is the cancellation policy? You need to give at least 24 hours notification before cancelling, otherwise you can be charged up to the full rate for your missed session.
